How Do You Celebrate?

As of today, I am done my second round of revising of Positive Tension. :dances: It took me about two months to do, which isn't bad. During this revision process, I came up with further notes for the next, and hopefully final round of edits before I hand it over to beta readers.

I celebrated by buying a paperback book I wanted. A small celebration, but I think sticking with the writing process demands celebration, as it can often be a long, lonely and frustrating process.

I'm taking another break from Positive Tension to sketch out my next novel. This novel will be far more organized than Positive Tension. I still consider myself a pantser vs. a planner, but this time I'll have a better road map for where I'm going!

Do you celebrate achieving your writing goals?

  1. A think buying a book is an awesome - and totally appropriate - way to celebrate finishing revising. Grats to you!

I also like to treat myself to a trip to Barnes and Noble to celebrate.

  5. Funny you should ask! I just finished editing my current ms and shipped it off to my beta. So I am rewarding myself by taking the weekend off to read Paranormalcy and Clockwork Angel!

  6. Thanks to everyone for your input! I think I may have to buy myself a nice new set of pens the next time I reach a goal. :)
