TGIF (1)

This week I'm participating in TGIF, hosted at GReads!

Her question this week:

Books To Television: Which books would you love to see made into a TV series? Or a movie?

The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa

With the popularity of Game of Thrones, I think TV audiences are ready for another fantasy series. Since this was written with teens in mind, I think it could be a little more approachable, and could be shown on network TV, instead of cable.

The universe is so well created that the show could focus on not just on the main characters in the novels, but expand to follow so many of the characters featured in the series.

The Mysterious Benedict Society series by Trenton Lee Stewart

I absolutely adore this series, and I think it's whimsical nature would translate well to the small screen. I love any series that features extraordinary children, and in my opinion this series is second only to Harry Potter in that respect. The kids don't have magical powers, but they use the skills they already have to do amazing things.

I also think this show would inspire children who aren't big readers to pick up the books.

Suite Scarlett series by Maureen Johnson

The quirky Martin family would translate well to the small screen. We could follow Scarlett's siblings, or just the daily goings-on at the Hopewell. It would be great if they could film it in New York as well!

I reviewed Naughty in Nice by Rhys Bowen
I shared a great pop song for Tune In Tuesday
I shared my visual inspiration for the week.
