My fifth novel is a sweet romance that was so much fun to write. The characters are musicians, and meet at a local talent show. I was debating which songs they should sing at the talent show when this song came on Pandora. I love the original version, by Tom Petty, but John's version fit my vision perfectly.

Oh I adore Tom Petty! not really a fan of John Mayer, but if he's singing a Tom Petty song, I'll give it a listen :)

ReplyDeleteJohn Mayer is my man -- I've seen him in concert probably five or six times. His version of "Free Fallin'" is always a special moment during the show! I love when he softens up and gets acoustic. This song sounds great on his live album, too!
ReplyDeleteTom Petty is one of those musicians that I really like...when I hear him on the radio, yet, to date, I've never actually bought any of his music. Pity.
